BJPENN.COM Radio Ep. 82 // Jimmie Rivera | Alexandre Almeida | Colby Covington

BJPENN.COM Radio is back yet again!

We kick things off with No. 4 ranked UFC bantamweight Jimmie Rivera. “El Terror” is set to face off against Marlon Moraes this Friday in Utica, New York, at UFC FN 131. Jimmie was kind enough to speak with us briefly during his busy schedule leading up to the event and he helped us preview the showdown with Marlon. You’ll hear the latest on Jimmie’s well-documented beef with Marlon’s manager and how that will translate into the cage on fight night. We’ll also get Rivera’s prediction for the rematch between Dillashaw and Garbrandt, who he’d prefer to fight for the title if given the choice, and if he’s been promised the ever-elusive title shot with a win over Moraes.

Next up we are joined by former WSOF featherweight champ who is set to compete in the inaugural 145 pound tournament in the newly-minted Professional Fighters League on June 7th, Alexandre Almeida. “Capitao” will breakdown his opening round opponent Lee Coville, give us his thoughts on the revolutionary format being unveiled by the PFL, who he believes are the other favorites to win, and what winning the million dollar cash prize would mean for his family.

Closing out this episode is the nerd-basher that you love to hate, the heel of heels, Colby Covington. We catch up with “Chaos” just over a week before the biggest fight of his career at UFC 225 against Rafael dos Anjos for the interim welterweight title. As always, Colby has plenty to say about his opponent RDA, the current champ Tyron Woodley, and everyone else at 170. We’ll also get his thoughts on the Wonderboy vs Till fight from over the weekend, Darren’s missed weight, Fabricio Werdum’s troubles with USADA, and a whole lot more. Another must-listen conversation with Covington!

All that and much more!

Stay tuned every week for more of what you crave!
