Former UFC welterweight, Marcus Davis returned to action last Thursday under the Bellator banner. During his brief return to action, he allegedly landed an illegal groin shot that disabled his opponent and left him unable to continue.

In this video we see the UFC’s Senior VP of Business and Legal Affairs and Assistant general Counsel, Michael Mersh, discuss with the Diaz camp a last-minute changing of the weigh-in rules, which he confirms is only applicable for the GSP vs. Diaz fight and no other fighters on the card. While some of the clip is hard to hear, it is clear that this man conveys to Diaz that the commission has allotted a 0.9lb weigh-in allowance for both fighters. Something that is not common for a title fight. Additionally, he says that the two fighters have an additional hour to make their contracted weight of 170 pounds.

Headline heavyweights Tyrone Spong (68-6-1 42 KO’s) and Remy Bonjasky (77-15, 40 KO’s) got nose-to-nose at today’s official weigh-ins for GLORY 5 London. Their face-off had an extra level of intensity added to it as Spong arrived late for the weigh-in and kept Bonjasky standing around waiting. The decorated veteran felt he had not been af! forded the respect he deserved and Spong received a good dose of evil eye as he finally strolled in to take the scales.

Invicta FC featherweight, Cris ‘Cyborg’ Santos has spoken out on the issue of transgender ‘female’ MMA fighter Fallon Fox. Fox, who used to be a genetic male, is now a transgender female and is campaigning (with plenty rightful resistance) to fight females. Joe Rogan was vocal about her not fighting and brought up the fact that Fox has the bone structure and testosterone of a male.
