Jon Jones has been in the gym doing a lot of powerlifting and packing on muscle. The former UFC light heavyweight champion has been breaking personal weightlifting records and making big gains. Hundreds gathered at Civic Plaza in Albuquerque, NM to welcome hometown champ Holly “The Preachers Daughter” Holm. Many people held up with signs saying “Burque’s Best”, a high school marching band and classic cars carrying Governor Susan Martinez and Mayor Richard Berry made it to the event. Their is no question of the dedication, love and sacrifice that Holm has given to the sport. The speech that she had written was not available, which makes it that much better.  Enjoy the video!

Another teammate of champion Holly Holm steps up and gives Ariel Helwani a brief interview on his thoughts about Holm’s success and his bet on Holm’s that made some bank. Andrei “The Pitbull” Arlovski is on the title hunt after decisioning Frank Mir back in September. Pitbull is on a 6 fight winning streak in the UFC. He’ll need to wait his turn after a rematch with former champ Cain Velasquez, after that possibly a heavier Jon “Bones” Jones.

Brock Lesnar is one of the baddest men on the planet. Lesnar’s pro wrestling career began over 15 years ago and he won his first championship in 2002 by defeating The Rock at SummerSlam. That championship win put Lesnar in the record books as the youngest champion at age 25. He was also the 2nd fastest wrestler to achieve a world title (126 days). Only Rick Flair did it quicker at (113 days) since their debut. Brock Lesnar is obviously accustomed to breaking records due to him doing so in the UFC, as well as the WWE.
