Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones is making headlines in the news once again for legal issues. Denise White, a representative for Jon Jones told MMA Junkie that Jones was speeding on January 31, 2016 and was issued a citation. “He will be in traffic court on Wednesday like everyone else that gets a speeding ticket,“ White wrote in an email to MMAjunkie. “Nothing to read into here but he was speeding. He is fully licensed and insured.”

There was much reason for UFC heavyweight Derrick Lewis to celebrate after UFC Fight Night 82. Lewis won by TKO in devastating fashion over Damian Grabowski in the first round of their fight. Lewis took to the club after his win over Grabowski and found a friend in Nick Diaz to celebrate with. Lewis snapped a photo of the two MMA veterans and posted it to Twitter with the caption reading, “I promise we didn’t fight anyone last night.”

It was a matchup of styles in the main event of UFC Fight Night 82 featuring former UFC welterweight champion Johny Hendricks and rising star Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson. Hendricks who is a former NCAA Division I All American and champion faced the former world champion kickboxer Thompson. Hendricks failed to implement his strengths as a wrestler to get the fight to the ground and faced the consequences of Thompson’s superior striking getting finished in the first round.
