Despite being signed to Bellator, Guillard too ended up talking about UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor in a recent interview. While it seems like everyone at every weight class, in every promotion, wants a crack at Conor McGregor, UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos will be the next man to step in the Octagon with McGregor on March 5th at UFC 196.

While Ronda Rousey has stated several times since her UFC 193 KO loss to Holly Holm that she would be returning to the Octagon for a rematch with Holm after filming several movies, the former champ has been surprisingly happy away from fighting. While the UFC brass wanted to see Holm vs. Rousey II at UFC 200 in July, the former champ’s filming schedule won’t give her enough time to prepare for a fight at UFC 200.

At UFC 193 Holly Holm defeated Ronda Rousey via 2nd round KO to claim the UFC women’s bantamweight championship. While the UFC wanted to book a rematch between the two as soon as possible, preferably at UFC 200 in July, Rousey’s busy Hollywood filming schedule will make it so that she is unable to compete at the event.

After it was announced that anderson Silva and Michael Bisping would fight at ‘UFC London’ on February 27th it didn’t take long for Bisping to start the war of words. ‘The Count’ quickly began trash talking Silva for failing a pair of failed drug tests surrounding his UFC 183 fight with Nick Diaz.

During a recent appearance on the Ellen Degeneres Show Rousey revealed that she had suicidal thoughts following the fight. This brought out quite a bit of support for the former champ, which was a change from how Rousey had been criticized following the loss.

Bellator MMA is expanding it’s reach in the combat sports world. It was revealed on Thursday that the promotion would begin hosting Kickboxing events as ‘Bellator Kickboxing’ starting in April. The announcement was made at the Bellator 149 press conference on Thursday in preparation for Friday’s Bellator 149 card.

Ahead of Conor McGregor’s UFC 196 lightweight showdown with Rafael dos Anjos on March 5th, there was much speculation as to what McGregor would do after the fight in regards to which weight class he would fight in. McGregor stated at the UFC 196 press conference that he wanted to hold the UFC featherweight, lightweight, and welterweight championships by the end of the year.

The fight has many MMA fans split down the middle when it comes to who they believe will win. On one hand McGregor’s dominance inside the Octagon makes it hard to choose against the featherweight champion. However, with that being said dos Anjos has been on a tear recently, showing an improved standup game to go with a dominant ground game.

With his first UFC fight taking place all the way back on Feb. 7, 1997, Belfort has been a very relevant fighter and remains so to this day. “The Phenom” surprised many with a recent announcement on his Facebook page that many die-hard fans may not have even known regarding his scholarly background. Befort proudly announced that he has been accepted into the very prestigious school, Stanford University in Palo Alto, California.
