The world is a cruel place and UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor is finding out just who is on his side following his loss to Nate Diaz at UFC 196. The two fought in a two-round war where Diaz was able to weather the early storm of McGregor and secure some heavy shots of his own in the second round that led to a rear-naked choke submission calling an end to the bout in the second. Irish media outlet Rte.ie came out guns firing on the downed McGregor.

Former UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo apparently did not care much about the Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz fight at UFC 196. The former pound-for-pound king said he knew what the outcome would be ahead of the fight and chose to watch something more entertaining to him when the fight aired. According to Bloody Elbow, Aldo did an interview with Sportv and said he opted to watch an adult channel over UFC 196.

It looks like the beef between Team McGregor and Team Diaz has been squashed after the two went to war and put on a “Fight of the Night” show for fans. A brawl nearly broke out at the UFC 196 press conference ahead of the weigh-ins after Conor McGregor punched Nate Diaz’s hand away from his face as the two went head to head at the end of the presser.

Miesha Tate realized her dream of becoming a UFC champion on Saturday night. Tate secured a rear-naked choke on Holly Holm in the fifth and final round of their title fight at UFC 196 and choked Holm unconscious. Tate took to Instagram to address her fans and acknowledged Holm with a great amount of respect.

Nate Diaz’s situation has changed dramatically since he was a youngster growing up in Stockton, California. With his last non-title welterweight fight against UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor, Diaz earned his highest disclosed payday in his career earning what most champions get in their title fights. With less than two weeks notice filling in for lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos’ place against McGregor, Diaz derailed “The Notorious” train off the welterweight title track. Diaz submitted McGregor in the second round to claim the win over one of the UFC’s biggest stars to date.
