ONE SAMURAI 1 keeps building. Two all-Japanese MMA bouts have been added to the inaugural edition of ONE Championship’s new monthly Japan series, which takes place April 29 at Ariake Arena in Tokyo.

The card already carries four World Title fights, and the additions deepen a lineup designed to celebrate Japanese martial arts at the highest level.

Tatsumitsu “The Sweeper” Wada makes his return in flyweight MMA against Pancrase Champion Seiichiro Ito. The 37-year-old Wada is one of the most experienced flyweights on ONE’s roster. He has 26 career wins and a promotional history that includes bouts against Demetrious Johnson and Danny Kingad.

He comes in off back-to-back losses to Sanzhar Zakirov and Avazbek Kholmirzaev and is looking to re-establish himself on home soil.

Ito steps onto the global stage for the first time carrying an 18-4 record and a 79 percent finish rate built across the Pancrase circuit. The 27-year-old Shooto Gym Tokyo fighter blends sharp striking with a tight grappling game. He also brings serious stopping power into his ONE debut against one of the division’s most battle-tested veterans.

Nagai and Kanbe represent the next wave of Japanese MMA talent at ONE SAMURAI 1

The second new addition is a bantamweight MMA clash between two unbeaten debutants. Kanata Nagai enters with a spotless 9-0 record built entirely on the Japanese regional circuit. The VOS Gym Tokyo fighter brings precise boxing and accurate bodywork. These have made him a consistent finisher at every level he has competed.

Atsuya Kanbe is equally dangerous. The 26-year-old Hachioji native carries an 8-1 record and an instinctive finishing ability backed by a well-rounded grappling base. He takes the fight to opponents from the opening bell and has shown the tools to end bouts the moment an opportunity arises.

Both fighters are stepping onto the biggest stage of their careers on April 29. Only one walks away with the momentum to launch what they hope will be a long run in ONE Championship.
