Pet targets ONE Championship main roster spot against Nahyan Mohammed at The Inner Circle

Most people had Pet Suanluangrodyok as a heavy underdog in his last fight. He won anyway, by unanimous decision, against a veteran who had just gone to war with a World Champion. Now he wants to make an even louder statement.
Pet headlines the atomweight Muay Thai main event against French-Algerian teenager “Petsam” Nahyan Mohammed at The Inner Circle, streaming live for members at live.onefc.com from Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand on Friday, April 24. The 19-year-old Thai carries a 5-2 promotional record and a four-stoppage finishing rate into the fight, and he is not looking to add a fifth decision to his resume.
The win over Numsurin Chor Ketwina changed things. It moved Pet into serious contention and proved he can outwork and outsmart veterans twice his experience. That result gave him something that no training camp can manufacture: the belief that he belongs at the top.
“Most people saw me as a massive underdog. I knew his hands were dangerous, so I couldn’t just rush in blindly. My game plan was to rely on my footwork, getting in and out fast, mixing up my strikes to throw him off his rhythm, and just keep scoring,” he said.
“Taking down a fighter of that caliber gave my confidence a huge boost. It makes me feel like I’m ready to take on anyone. It’s all about leveling up and reaching the goals I’ve set for myself.”
Pet Suanluangrodyok has spotted the opening and is ready to exploit it
Pet Suanluangrodyok has done his homework on “Petsam.” The 17-year-old challenger is fast, relentless, and carries a 33-10 career record built on forward pressure and combination work. But Pet found a pattern in the fight footage, and that pattern has shaped his entire camp.
“Petsam” dropped his guard in his last outing and paid for it. Pet has spent the past month drilling the power shots to take advantage of exactly that.
“I’ve been sharpening my power shots for this camp. If the opening is there, I’m putting him away. I don’t want to let this go the distance because a long, grinding fight favors a guy like him,” he said.
“My goal for this fight is to knock Petsam out. I want the fans to really buy into who I am. This is a huge stepping stone to becoming a top contender and getting closer to that ultimate goal: the ONE Championship main roster contract.”
