UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor has been rubbing shoulders with some big pop stars recently. Soccer icon Cristiano Ronaldo visited McGregor in Las Vegas at the gym “The Notorious” has been training at and was later with Jennifer Lopez for her birthday party.
With Nate Diaz set to rematch McGregor at UFC 202 on August 20 to show the world that the first fight wasn’t a fluke, he was asked what his thoughts were on McGregor hanging out with the stars and had a surprising reaction to it all.
Diaz said that it’s good to see other stars recognizing fighters like McGregor because they put so much on the line every time they step into the Octagon or cage to fight. From running the risk of being injured to the scrutiny one faces after a poor performance all for the sake of other people’s entertainment, Diaz says it’s good that the stars are appreciative of what they do.
