Last month Conor McGregor was pulled from his UFC 200 main event slot after refusing to fulfill his media obligations for his fight with Nate Diaz. After a brief scramble, the UFC decided to have Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier fill the main event slot with their highly anticipated rematch for the light heavyweight championship.

Jones took to Instagram to thank McGregor for the main event slot, and reveal an interesting bit of information about just what a UFC 200 main event fighter has to go through in terms of media obligations.

McGregor argued that he needed to focus on training ahead of his rematch with Diaz, and the media obligations he was under would be far too much while preparing for the biggest fight of his career. While many believed that McGregor was exaggerating, as Jones pointed out above, he had to participated in a 10 hour commercial shoot.

Does this change your perspective of McGregor’s standoff with the UFC.
