UFC legend Henry Cejudo has claimed that Kamaru Usman fought Dricus du Plessis with an injury last weekend.

In the main event of UFC Oklahoma City, Dricus du Plessis dominated Kamaru Usman to vault himself right back into world title contention in the UFC’s middleweight division. While DDP is set for a big fight next, Kamaru’s future is up in the air.

Usman is undoubtedly one of the best fighters and champions of his generation, but given what’s happened in the last few years of his career, it’s hard to see a way back to the world title for him.

In a recent episode of their podcast, Henry Cejudo made a big claim about Usman’s condition heading into the contest.

Cejudo makes Usman revelation

“A lot of people don’t know this, but you fought with a torn pec,” Cejudo said on his “Pound 4 Pound” podcast with Kamaru Usman. “And I didn’t like that from the beginning. I don’t like you taking this fight because if you’re f*cking fighting with one pec, Kamaru, with a torn pec, that’s different, man.

“A lot of people were giving you a lot of sh*t because DDP was saying he was stopping your takedowns, but how can you get to those positions if you don’t have a f*cking pec? This is just part of being a fighter. I got your back on this, Kamaru.”

Usman said the following in response.

“I understand that, Henry, but it is what it is,” Usman said. “We roll the dice every time, so there’s no excuses. We roll the dice, and sometimes it works out, and no one ever finds out. But this time, it didn’t work out, so it’s something I don’t even want to bring up. Let’s not bring it up. To answer your question, what you were asking, 100 percent everyone knows that I am a wrestler, and I wanted to utilize that. But it was just tough to do it.”
