UFC featherweight contender Dennis Bermudez now holds a Guinness World Record.

Bermudez made the record books for drinking a litre of lemon juice through a straw in only 22.75 seconds.

Dennis spoke to MMAJunkie about his accomplishment:

“I didn’t think I could do it, but when it’s game time, I show up.”

“In my head, I was like, I’ll take a few gulps, it will be too sour, I’ll spit it out, and it will be funny,” said Bermudez, who posts his culinary adventures as part of his “Cooking with the Menace” on Snapchat. “We’re all lined up, and they say first one to finish put your hand up, and I’m booking. I’m in it to win it.”

“My stomach is on fire, because there’s a liter of lemon juice in my stomach, and I’m super-full at this point,” Bermudez said. “But they had the (record) there, so I’m like, ‘That’s gotta go home.'”

Dennis Bermudez most recent octagon appearance came at February’s ‘UFC Fight Night 83’ event, where he earned a decision victory over Tatsuya Kawajiri. “The Menace” is currently awaiting his next assignment.
