Going into Conor McGregor’s UFC 202 rematch with Nate Diaz, McGregor predicted that he would finish Diaz in the 4th round of their welterweight scrap. McGregor was unable to finish Diaz, however he dropped the Stockton fighter several times early on in the fight. Immediately following the fight, McGregor stated that he would do a trilogy fight with Diaz, however it would be at lightweight, where both men were more comfortable.

News surfaced shortly after that McGregor had broken his foot, and was using crutches to assist him backstage.
