Coach Vladimir Voronov has exciting news about Fedor’s training

By Russell Ess - December 8, 2015

With an opponent still unnamed for Fedor Emelianenko’s return to fighting at RIZIN FF on New Year’s Eve, “The Last Emporer” has “been training hard like he is young,” according to his coach Vladimir Voronov.

Voronov recently spoke with M-1 Global after the M-1 Challenge 63 in St. Petersburg.

“He clearly has had a long break, but Fedor now has perfect conditioning,” Voronov said. “It doesn’t matter who is an opponent because if Fedor is ready, he can beat anyone.”

Sounds like Voronov is happy with the way training is going, and we will expect to hear from RIZIN who the mystery opponent is in a week.

The New Year’s Eve RIZIN card will feature a bout with Emelianenko and his opponent to be announced and feature the heavyweight tournament semi-finals and finals from the Dec. 29 RIZIN card.
