Bo Nickal offers to fight Colby Covington at UFC White House: ‘We can still make this happen’

Bo Nickal is keeping the door open for a fight against Colby Covington at the White House.
Nickal is set to face Kyle Daukaus in an intriguing middleweight bout, but since the card was revealed, Covington has voiced his frustration about not being on it. Nickal, meanwhile, has claimed Covington turned him down for the card, which ‘Chaos’ said isn’t the case.
Now, after Covington continues to vent his frustration, Nickal is keeping the door open for them to fight, as he said he’s yet to sign his contract.
“Colby, I haven’t signed a contract yet,” Nickal wrote on X. “We can still make this happen. In all honesty I do think you deserve to be on the White House card. If you want to fight we can both call Hunter together and make it happen.”
Covington has said he may move up to middleweight, and the fight against Nickal makes a ton of sense. The two do not like each other, and the White House event makes sense, but unfortnately, it appears that it is unlikely to happen.
Bo Nickal claims Colby Covington turned him down
Although Nickal is keeping the door open to face Covington, he isn’t sure it will happen as he claimed ‘Chaos’ turned him down.
“The (UFC) told him, ‘If you want to be on this card, you have to fight Bo,’ and he said no,” Nickal said to Ariel Helwani. “He would rather be a coward and not fight me than be on the White House card. Which is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”
But, if the bout happens between Bo Nickal and Colby Covington, he has confidence he wouldn’t just win, but would dominate the former interim champ.
“Everyone knows it would basically be like leading a lamb to slaughter,” Nickal said. “People would have liked to see. But, for him in his position, I understand it. In one sense, I understand, because you’re literally going out there just to get killed. On the other hand, it is a fight; you have a chance. And, it’s the White House, this will never happen again. I thought the fight would get made because of the circumstances, but he’s a coward at the end of the day.”
Bo Nickal enters the bout with a record of 8-1 and is coming off a KO win over Rodolfo Vieira.
