UFC White House | Pro fighters make their picks for Alex Pereira vs. Ciryl Gane interim title fight

The UFC is in Washington, D.C., for their historic event on the White House lawn for a stacked UFC White House card. In the co-main event, former middleweight and light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira moves up to heavyweight to face Ciryl Gane for the interim heavyweight title. Heading into the fight, the oddsmakers have it as a pick’em, as both fighters are -113 on FanDuel.

Ahead of the bout at UFC White House, BJPENN.com reached out to several pro fighters to get their predictions for the interim heavyweight title fight. The pros slightly lean towards Pereira becoming the first-ever three-weight UFC champion as they expect his striking to be the difference.

Adrian Yanez, UFC bantamweight: I’m going with Pereira. I think the striking will be the difference, as Pereira is such a great striker and has more power and can hurt Gane.

Chase Hooper, UFC lightweight: I’m going with Ciryl Gane, actually. I think his size will play a factor, as I think Gane can actually wrestle Pereira and clinch him against the fence and grind out a win that way.

Cody Durden, UFC flyweight: Ciryl Gane is so technical and is fast for a heavyweight. I think he can edge out a decision.

Davey Grant, UFC bantamweight: I’m going with Pereira. I think it’s a standup fight, and I think Pereira has more power and can win that way. Gane will have to wrestle, but I don’t think he will be able to take Pereira down.
