Dana White announced today at the UFC on Fox 11 pre-fight press conferece that the winner of the main event between Travis Browne and Fabricio Werdum will fight Cain Velasquez near the end of this year in Mexico.

“Yeah…as long as Cain’s recovery is on course, then the fight will be in Mexico. I’m probably going to get in trouble for saying and announcing that.”

Back in February the UFC announced that they had booked Mexico City for TUF Latin America’s finale in November, the bout between Velasquez and his challenger will most likely take place then and there.

Travis Browne has been on a roll as of late, knocking out his last 3 opponents all in the first round. His most recent win came over Josh Barnett in December.

Fabricio Werdum on the other hand is also riding a 3 fight win streak into his bout with Hapa. With his most recent win coming by way of submission against Antonio Nogueira back in June.
