When Holly Holm knocked out Ronda Rousey on Saturday many began to question what Rousey’s plans would be going forward after such a brutal and devastating loss.

Dana White

Rousey had stated before the fight that she was planning to take a break until UFC 200, however no announcement in regards to Rousey potentially being on the UFC 200 card had been made.

Following the loss to Holm, Rousey revealed that she will be back eventually, but not immediately.

UFC President Dana White spoke to MMAJunkie to discuss an eventual rematch between Rousey and Holm, as well as why he feels Rousey will come back stronger.

“She’s the mentally strongest f-cking athlete I’ve ever met in my life. When she gets over this loss, she’s going to be a savage. She was a maniac and a hard-worker when she was the best in the world. What’s she going to be like now that she lost?

“The thing that makes this fight great again is Holly Holm. Now everybody knows how talented Holly Holm is and that Holly Holm is legit and Holly Holm is a workhorse, too. Both these two are going to take the next few months, go back in, start working on sh-t, and they’re going to clash again. And this second fight will be f-cking awesome.”

It is worth noting that Rousey has opened up as a slight favorite over Holm in a potential rematch.
