Thales Leites Wins

Thales Leites went to his bread-and-butter when he submitted Tim Boetsch with the arm triangle in the second round. Leites showed some weaknesses when they were standing, but as soon as the action went to the mat he was in full control.

Boetsch looked fantastic in the opening round of the fight as he outstruck Leites while the fight was standing. Leites took some brutal shots in the first two minutes as he was once dropped with a beautiful combination from Boetsch. Boetsch wanted to stand and brawl, but Leites was comfortable once the fight went to the canvas in the second round.

Boetsch was able to escape the first arm triangle, but Leites trapped him in another and Boetsch had nowhere to go. Boetsch bucked and tried to wiggle his way out of it, but it wasn’t long before he passed out. Leites is now riding a five fight win-streak in the UFC.
