TUF 20 Finale Results: Calderwood Earns Decision Win Over Ham

Joanne Calderwood

Both Calderwood and Ham saw their fair share of offense in this fight. Calderwood saw the bulk of her success when she either struck from a far distance or when there was no distance at all inside the clinch. Ham, as expected, found success early on when she had room to swing her fists.

Calderwood tried her hardest to take the fight to the ground in the first, but Ham’s balance and takedown defense was off the charts. Once Calderwood was finally able to take her down, Ham either got right back up or the round expired; Calderwood did not do much while on the ground.

Calderwood started to find her stride in the second and third rounds and picked Ham apart with jab combinations. Those jabs built up and Ham started to slow down drastically in the third round. Eventually, when Calderwood would attempt a takedown she was able to simply pick Ham up and plop her onto the ground.

After a close first round, Calderwood took the momentum and ran with it until time expired. As time expired, Calderwood was all over Ham working for a submission from side mount, full mount and with back control. Ham displayed great heart as he fought off Calderwood until the final horn sounded.

Joanne Calderwood def. Seo Hee Ham by way of Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-26)
