‘The Notorious’ Conor McGregor Plans To Take Out Aldo, Then Move Up To Lightweight

By BJPENN.COM News - September 2, 2015

Hopefully, UFC 194 will go down as expected and UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo will finally square off with, now, interim champ Conor McGregor.

Conor McGregor 145

This fight has been a long time in the making, with it originally scheduled for UFC 189 back in July. Aldo was forced to pull out with a rib injury and we all know what happened after that. Now they will get another chance to step in the cage opposite each other on Dec. 12.

Even before that fight though, as usual, McGregor is making bold predictions and mapping out his next move after unifying the title. He said, during a media luncheon in LA, that he plans on beating Aldo, which in his opinion is killing the featherweight division, then moving up to lightweight to challenge for the title.

Here’s what he said:

“I’m going to unify the belts and destroy the division and then I’m going to go up and take the lightweight division, as well. So that’s where I’m headed right now.”

He did say however that if Frankie Edgar is able to pull off a rather impressive victory over Chad Mendes than he would consider ‘answering the Frankie question’ and fighting Edgar at 145 before jumping up in weight.

If all this does happen as Mystic Mac predicts, do you think he can be a real threat at 155 against the likes of Donald Cerrone and Rafael dos Anjos?
