Ratings Report: UFC 167 Pulls Good Audience On Fox Sports 1 Broadcast

By Chris Taylor - November 20, 2013

Saturday night’s UFC 167 prelims on FOX Sports 1 recorded some solid ratings, peaking at 998,000 viewers. It marked the second largest audience the promotion has reached during a live show.

The UFC 167 prelims were headlined by a lightweight bout featuring Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone taking on Evan Dunham. Cerrone ended up defeating Dunham via triangle-choke in the second round of their entertaining preliminary bout.

The number (998,000) is still well below the 1.3 million viewer average that the prelims for pay-per-view events were doing on FX in 2012 and 2013. But, it is important to note that those numbers were done on a much higher rated network.

To date, the most-watched live UFC broadcast was on August 17, 2013, when Chael Sonnen took on Mauricio “Shogun” Rua in the main event of ‘UFC Fight Night 26.’
