Erick Silva was carried out of the octagon on a gurney and there was some concern from Dana White that he had suffered a concussion along with a broken jaw. Luckily, that is not the case.

Fight of the Night: Matt Brown vs. Erick Silva Was there any doubt that Dana White was going to reward Matt Brown and Erick Silva with fight of the night honors? These two put on one of the best fights in history, and UFC should consider themselves lucky it was broadcasted live on free television. Brown almost succumbed to body shots in the opening round, but he pushed through the pain and kept pressing forward. Silva was gassed out at the end of the first round and proceeded to absorb an ungodly amount of punishment until Herb Dean finally waved it off in the third round. If there are two things you should take away from this fight, it’s that Matt Brown has an insane amount of heart and Erick Silva has one of the best chins in his weight-class.

Cabral controlled most of the first round on the ground and almost put Cummings away with a triangle choke at one point.
