In a recent interview with, Ludwig expressed his concern for the way the news was handled.

“It wasn’t fucking supposed to be like this, man. I’m not going to bounce on anybody’s fight camp. Then he fucking went and told the team and did a press release before I knew. I’m like, ‘What the hell?’ That’s why it was a bit sudden, because I was just giving Urijah the heads up; I didn’t really have much planned. I think he kind of jumped (the gun).”

“I’ve really had a great time coaching at Team Alpha Male, and we’re leaving things on great terms, but my heart has always been in Colorado. It is just time to do my own thing and build my own business.”
