As an MMA fan it would be nearly impossible not to hear all the talk of a potential superfight between Anderson Silva, and either Jon Jones or Georges St. Pierre. Jon Jones has shot down ideas of a superfight between him and Silva saying that neither of them wanted to pop the other’s bubble and neither of them would want to ruin what the other has going.

Talks of superfights have become increasingly frequent with the potential of a GSP Silva fight in the air. However it appears that GSP will fight Nick Diaz, leaving Anderson Silva available for a potential fight with Jones.

Jon Jones sounded off today on the subject saying: “I think superfights are important for the sport, important for legacies. A desire to compete in one, I really don’t have it because I don’t desire to compete against anyone in particular. Unless someone comes and challenges me, I’m fine going on my merry way and competing against these light heavyweights.”

Jones went on to say: “Everything’s a possibility. I do believe that we’re put on this earth to think big and dream big, and not limiting ourselves, and fighting Anderson would be a definitely testament of my faith, and my warrior spirit,”

Jones vs. Silva has the potential to earn the most PPV buys in the history of the UFC, and would arguably be the biggest fight in the history of the UFC. Stylistically if there is anyone that can beat Anderson Silva, it’s Jon Jones.
