Jim Miller vs. Fabricio Camoes added to UFC 168 in Las Vegas

By Chris Taylor - October 3, 2013

Today, UFC officials announced that a lightweight bout between Jim Miller (22-4 MMA, 11-3 UFC) and Fabricio Camoes (14-7-1 MMA, 1-2-1 UFC) is the latest addition to December’s UFC 168 event in Las Vegas.

After reeling off seven-straight UFC victories from 2009-2011, Jim Miller has since gone 2-2 with one no-contest in his past five octagon appearances. Miller’s latest effort came back at April’s UFC 159 event, where he was submitted by Pat “Bam Bam” Healy. However, that bout was eventually ruled a no-contest after Healy failed a post-fight drug test due to marijuana.

Meanwhile, Fabricio Camoes has been on the sidelines ever since he suffered he decision loss to Melvin Guillard at July 2012’s UFC 148 event in Las Vegas. Prior to the Guillard loss, the Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt, Camoes,  had put together a three fight win-streak .

UFC 168 takes place December 28 live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event is headlined by a rematch for the middleweight title between current champ Chris Weidman and former champ Anderson Silva.
