Gadelha: ‘Joanna Jedrzejczyk’s Jiu-Jitsu Is Weak’

Joanna Jedrzejczyk stock has risen a great deal since her dominant victory over Jessica Penne at “UFC Fight Night 69”. She has received shout outs from the likes of Ronda Rousey and UFC President Dana White, but Claudia Gadelha claims to see through the smoke and mirrors.

While Jedrzejczyk blasted through Jessica Penne and Carla Esparza, she had issues finishing Gasdelha at “UFC on FOX” in December 2014. “I wasn’t intimidated by her boxing in the first fight,” Gadelha said during UFC 190’s media day. “She knocked me down in the first round, but a fight is a fight, that happens. She knocked me down with 10 seconds left in the first round, and I was better the entire round.”

Gadelha admits she slipped up and strayed away from her gameplan, which forced her to start a brawl with Jedrzejczyk “I got too excited and wanted to brawl, trade punches with her for three rounds. But now I know what I have to do so I don’t leave any doubts. I have to take her down and ground and pound. She has a good boxing, a good takedown defense, but her jiu-jitsu is weak.”

Do you think has what it takes to defeat the undefeated Jedrzejczyk? Will she be the next UFC Strawweight Champion, or will Jessica Aguilar catch her off guard? Share your thoughts in the comment section below!
