Browne vs. Werdum Set For UFC on FOX 11 Main Event

By BJPENN.COM News - January 30, 2014

A heavyweight title-eliminator-bout between Fabricio Werdum and Travis Browne has been signed, sealed and will surely deliver in the headlining slot of UFC on FOX 11.

UFC president, Dana White, announced the bout during today’s media event for UFC 169.

UFC on FOX 11 is set to go down on April 19 from the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida.

After suffering his one and only defeat at the hands of ‘Bigfoot Silva’, Browne went on to go 3-0 in 2013 to cement himself as one of the divisions elite. His 3 victories in 2013 came over perennial contenders Gabriel Gonzaga, Alistair Overeem and most recently Josh Barnett at December’s UFC 168 event in Las Vegas.

Werdum came back to the UFC following a very successful run under the Strikeforce banner. After taking out Roy Nelson and ‘Big Nog’, he was set to face off with Cain Velasquez for the UFC heavyweight title. Unfortunately for the Brazilian a nagging shoulder on the champ got in the way.

Who do you have winning this #1 contenders bout Penn Nation?
