Anthony “Rumble” Johnson was originally scheduled to face Jon “Bones” Jones for the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship at UFC 187. However, Jones’ recent run in with the law forced the UFC to strip him of the title and suspend him from the company.

Now, Daniel Cormier will be facing Anthony “Rumble” Johnson for the vacant championship and Johnson isn’t begging for Jon Jones to make a comeback anytime soon.

When asked whether he thought “Bones” would make a return to the octagon during the UFC 187 Conference call, Johnson seemed positive. “Well, I think he will. I think he’ll be back, this is what he does. Jon Jones is a fighter and I don’t think that he would want to walk away from the sport under the circumstances. For everything positive he’s done in this sport, to walk away with this black cloud would be unfortunate. So, I do believe he will come back.”

Johnson threw his final two cents in by saying, “But, do I care? I mean, I would love to fight him again, but that is really his decision. I’m not going to beg him to come back. He can come back if he wants to.”

Do you think Jon Jones will make a return to the octagon? Will he face the champion immediately or will he have to work his way up the ladder again? Share your thoughts in the comment section below!
