UFC lightweight and octagon vet Joe Lauzon is trying to do some real good and it just so happens to do that he’s going to have to stuff his face with a lot of pizza.
The fighter and a group of his friends will attempt to eat 30 pizzas on Friday night in order to raise money for the Jimmy Fund. The fund helps to raise money for cancer research and care. For every slice that they eat, $5 will be donated.
Lauzon started working to raise money for cancer research and care in 2013, when his son was diagnosed with neuroblastoma after birth. Since then he’s made a full recovery.
The fighter talked to MMAJunkie Radio and had this to say:
“We think we can eat five pizzas each. We’re going to eat ourselves until we hate ourselves.”
“I think everyone has been affected by cancer unfortunately, one way or the other. You see a little kid with it, and I feel like it’s even worse. Whatever people can do to help would be awesome.”
If you’re looking to help out and want to make a pledge per slice you can head over to mixedmartialarts.com, who partnered with Lauzon.
