Since his move to the featherweight division, Jeremy Stephens seems like a new fighter. Stephens extended his win-streak to three as he controlled every single aspect of the fight tonight against Darren Elkins.
Stephens kept his distance and was able to land powerful right hands and body kicks at will, all while staying on the defense of Elkins’ takedown attempts. Elkins failed all 11 of his takedown attempts and whatever attempts he didn’t get a chance to complete were cut off by Stephens’ brutal uppercuts.
By the third round, Elkins face was a bruised and battered mess. Stephens landed strong shots throughout the fight but could not knock his opponent down once. Stephens was dominating the fight, but Elkins impressed with his chin.
