This main event may have been a bit disappointing compared to the rest of the action-packed card, but it was an impressive performance from Demian Maia nonetheless.
Maia has the amazing ability to make some of the best strikers and wrestlers look like they don’t even belong in the octagon with him. Maia acted as a boa-constrictor and dragged him down to the ground while tying up his limbs to make sure he could not wiggle anywhere.
LaFlare finally put on a winning round in the fifth, but his greatest fight was in the fourth when he fought off a head-arm triangle attempt from Maia. Maia tried his hardest to finish the fight then and there, but LaFlare made it to the end of the round and defended brilliantly.
Maia was EXHAUSTED in the final round and actually had a point taken away due to delaying the fight, but he still won by way of unanimous decision.
