The Ultimate Fighter returned to FX on Tuesday night with the sixth episode of the season – “Path to Greatness”. In the evening’s preliminary matchup, Josh Samman capitalized on Tor Troeng’s relaxed fighting style, winning via knockout in the first round.
Samman, a Floridian with a 9-2 mixed martial arts record, landed a body kick and followed through with a crisp 1-2 combo to finish the fight at 4:40 of the first round and earn the first-round TKO over the 15-4 Swede. With the win, Team Jones climbs back to within one as Team Sonnen leads the preliminary fights 3-2.

The series resumes next Tuesday, March 5, on FX at 9 p.m. ET/PT (check local listings for Central and Mountain Time). In that episode – “His Fist on My Face” – One fighter cuts loose and another alienates himself when the guys get a night out at Hooters. A fighter’s recurring leg pain lands him in the hospital. Then Hester and Quinlan square off in the sixth Preliminary Fight.
