Junior dos Santos says it is ‘unbelievable’ that Jose Aldo will not get an immediate rematch with Conor McGregor

The biggest fight in UFC featherweight history lasted all but 13 seconds. Conor McGregor ended Jose Aldo’s ten-year undefeated streak by knockout. The two biggest draws in the division had a few exchanges until McGregor caught Aldo with a left that dropped him and then put him out with a pair of hammer fists making it the fastest title fight finish in UFC history.

While the UFC has said that there are other fights for McGregor, Aldo’s camp is hoping to get a rematch. Two other champions in Ronda Rousey and Cain Velasquez that were dethroned will be getting an immediate rematch that people are using in an argument for Aldo, the only champion the division has had for five years before McGregor took the title at UFC 194.

Former UFC heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos is one that has a problem with not giving Aldo the immediate rematch, talking about it on a recent Periscope session (transcribed by Bloody Elbow):

“I think that’s the most unfair thing ever,” Dos Santos said. “Because how can they give Cain Velasquez a rematch, how can they give Ronda Rousey a rematch, and they will not give Jose Aldo?”

“The one who most deserves a rematch, they’re not giving him this rematch. That’s unbelievable!”
