Josh Barnett vs. Travis Browne Set For December Clash

By BJPENN.COM News - September 17, 2013

A heavyweight fight of mammoth proportion has been booked for the UFC’s 168 event in the form of Josh Barnett vs. Travis Browne.

UFC 168 is set to go down on December 18 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. In the main event Chris Weidman will make his first middleweight title defense against former champion, Anderson Silva.

Barnett has long been one of the heavyweight divisions most promising and talented fighters. A former UFC champion, this catch-wrestling sensation made his return to the Octagon last month with a first round finish of Frank Mir.

Browne, also fought last month where he too found success in the first round. In the biggest win of his promising career, the Hawaiian born Browne defeated Alistair Overeem.

This bout is certainly slated for the pay-per-view portion of the event, but a placement on the card has not been announced by the UFC.
