Jon ‘Bones’ Jones Pleads Guilty To 4th Degree Felony

By BJPENN.COM News - September 29, 2015

Former UFC champion Jon Jones had his day in court on Tuesday and during the proceedings plead guilty to a felony charge of fleeing the scene, 4th degree felony.

Jones was able to get a plea deal, which the judge accepted. Jones’ lawyer talked on his behalf for a while, telling the judge that he’s remorseful and has already apologized to the pregnant women he crashed in to.

He also talked about Jones’ work with children since the incident. Jones did speak during the hearing, apologizing to the court and to the women he crashed in to. He asked the judge for a second chance. His legal team also asked that he be able to have one firearm in his home, for self-protection.

The judge told him how lucky he was and sentenced him to up to 18 months of supervised probation. He’s also required to make 72 appearances, ex. working with Boys and Girls clubs. The judge said his manager needs to get in contact with all the grade schools and have Jones’ talk to them all.

Jones made a joke, “I’ll have to work on my public speaking.”

We’ll have more developments as they come in. How long before we see Jones back in the octagon?
