Is Jon Jones Going To Get A Plea Deal?

By BJPENN.COM News - September 18, 2015

From the looks of things, former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones might be looking to get a plea deal in his felony hit-and-run case.

Jones, back on April 26, allegedly ran a traffic light and wrecked his car into another, one that was driven by a pregnant women. Reports also say that he allegedly jumped out of the rented SUV, ran from the scene, then returned to grab something and ran off again, allegedly.

Jones was unable to be located by the Albuquerque police for almost 24 hours. Jones ended up turning himself in and was arrested on a felony charge of leaving the scene of an accident involving death or serious injury, due to the pregnant women breaking her arm.

Jones was indefinitely suspended by the UFC and stripped of his title. According to document obtained by MMAFighting, it appears a plea deal might be in the works for Jones.

The document states that the case will be going to judge Charles Brown of the Second Judicial District Court, “on the stipulation of the parties for the entry of a pre-indictment plea.”
