Coach: Ronda Dropping Boxing World Champs With Punches In Training

“I’m not going to give out what she’s going to do, but I’ll be honest: We get boxing world champions in here – girls – and she drops all of them with body shots. So if you’re dropping people with 14-ounce gloves, you guys should be seeing that.”

During this week’s UFC 170 media event in Los Angeles, Ronda Rousey’s head trainer, Edmond Tarverdyan, discussed his pupils progression in the realm of striking.

Coming into MMA with a world-class Judo pedigree, Rousey’s striking was and still is, far behind her grappling ability. However, having been working with Tarverdyan for the past several years, he seems to be confident in her progress.
