Fighters of the octagon, men and women, are coming out of the woodworks to show their support for Nick Diaz after he learned of his five year suspension. The Nevada State Athletic Commission dealt the lengthy suspension on Monday evening after hearing the former Strikeforce Welterweight Champion’s defense for failing his one of his post-fight UFC 183 drug test.
The NSAC was apprehensive to actually listen to Diaz’s defense team and they are being accused of basing their penalty of Diaz based on their emotions. After it was announced he had been suspended, social media went up in flames and “#FREENICKDIAZ” was trending in no time.
Former UFC fighter and current WSOF color commentator Chael Sonnen wants to spread the message, so he is selling a #FREENICKDIAZ shirt of his own! Of course, it is in the “Stockton Talk” language and has some explicit language:
Are you going to buy one of these shirts? Should Nick Diaz be freed, or should he serve a minor suspension? Share your thoughts in the comment section below!
