UFC once again targeting Ferguson vs. Nurmagomedov

Prior to Khabib Nurmagomedov injuring his ribs at the end of last year, he was booked to return to the Octagon to fight Tony Ferguson in the co-main event of The Ultimate Fighter 22 finale. Nurmagomedov was replaced by Edson Barboza, who lost to Ferguson via 2nd round submission in what was ultimately the Fight of the Night.
Miocic didn't turn down fight with Jones

Last week Cain Velasquez withdrew from his UFC 196 heavyweight showdown with Fabricio Werdum. Velasquez was replaced by Stipe Miocic, however news broke shortly after that Werdum had withdrawn from the bout as well. There was a scramble for the UFC to find a replacement main event for the bout. Many on Twitter began to call for former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones to step in and fight Miocic.

Prior to the UFC announcing that Johny Hendricks vs. Stephen Thompson had been moved from the co-main event to the main event, and the Pay-Per View being moved to Fox Sports 1, Nate Diaz reportedly tried to save the event. According to MMAFighting, Nate Diaz reportedly tried to save the event by fighting Anthony Pettis in the main event of UFC 196.

UFC 196 picks up new main event, moved to FS1

There’s been much speculation as to what the UFC would do about Fabricio Werdum and Cain Velasquez both withdrawing from the main event of UFC 196, and it seems like we’ve got our answer. UFC President Dana White informed Yahoo Sports that the event has been moved from Pay-Per View to Fox Sports 1, and the co-main event bout between Johny Hendricks and Stephen Thompson has been promoted to the main event.

Arianny Celeste, octagon girl/model and 24 other models filed a lawsuit today in the Southern District of New York against Diamond Club Gentlemen’s Cabaret, Lace Gentlemen’s Club, and Stiletto’s (all strip clubs) for false endorsement, deceptive trade practices, defamation, negligence, and unjust enrichment. The complaint as it states, indicate the models going after the “defendants” for “theft, alteration, and unauthorized publication of sexually suggestive images of Plaintiffs, in order to promote their strip clubs without consent or approval of the plaintiffs.

With BJ training in New Mexico with some of the greatest MMA fighters in the world at the JacksonWink MMA Academy, he is preparing to be his best and revealed some information on his next bout. “The Prodigy” spoke with Kenny Florian and Jon Anik on the Anik and Florian podcast on Monday. Penn revealed to the guys that he has verbally agreed to an opponent for UFC 197 but was not allowed to disclose who it was just yet.
