During a recent appearance on the Ellen Degeneres show former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey revealed that after her UFC 193 loss to Holly Holm, she briefly contemplated suicide. The loss was understandably tough for Rousey, who refrained from appearing in public for quite some time until the Marine Corps Ball, and then her SNL hosting gig. In addition, Rousey shot for the 2016 Sports Illustrated Body Issue, which she will grace the cover of.

It was a first for Sports Illustrated to issue three different covers for the new Swimsuit edition. The three covers include Rousey, Hailey Clausen, and Ashley Graham, who is the first plus-size model to grace the cover of the prestigious magazine, Which Williams lauds over.

After Ronda Rousey’s devastating UFC 193 loss to Holly Holm that left the former champ with quite a few injuries there was much speculation as to whether or not Rousey would return to the Octagon. After a brief period of silence, Rousey revealed that she would be returning to the Octagon after filming several movies in Hollywood. While the UFC brass would have liked to see a Holm vs. Rousey rematch at UFC 200, due to Rousey’s film schedule that isn’t possible.

Tarverdyan caught criticism for what many believed was giving Rousey a false sense of confidence in regards to her boxing, which ultimately lead to her attempting to strike with Holm, an elite level striker.

At a California State Athletic Commission hearing on Tuesday afternoon Ronda Rousey’s head coach Edmond Tarverdyan was suspended for 3 months for falsifying documents. Tarverdyan was also handed a $5,000 fine and given 3 years of probation according to MMAFighting.com, who confirmed the news with CSAC Executive Director Andy Foster.
