In the first round of the non-title fight (due to Pannie Kianzad missing weight), they came out aggressive. It’s disappointing this fight is no longer for the title, but still, both women wanted to come out and put on a good show. They exchanged on the feet until the champ managed to get the fight to the ground. From there it was really all Evinger. She worked for an amrbar several times. She couldn’t get it, so just kept position and fired off ground and pound. The first round was all Evinger.

Saturday night will supposedly be Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s final fight. He’ll be taking on Andre Berto and the fight will air on Showtime PPV, with the main card starting at 8 PM ET. Mayweather is coming in 48-0 and will look to end his career undefeated with 49 wins. He’s also coming off of the biggest fight of his career, an epic fight against Manny Pacquiao that ended up disappointing the masses. This fight isn’t necessarily a fan favorite either, with Berto coming in 3-3 in his last six fights.

Invicta FC 14 goes down on Saturday night and was supposed to feature a bantamweight title fight between the champ, Tonya Evinger and the challenger Pannie Kianzad. However because Kianzad missed weight, the title will no longer be on the line. Actually, at first, Evinger also missed weight, but made it on a second try, after the official weigh-ins. Still, the title won’t be on the line.

Back in August, boxer Roy Jones Jr. personally met with Russia’s Vladimir Putin and asked to be granted Russian citizenship. Well, it looks like Putin thought it was a great idea and it was announced on the Kremlin website that Putin had indeed granted the boxer what he asked for.

Of course he had to take a shot a Manny Pacquaio and blame him for their boring fight.

At only 19 years-old, Ohio State wrestler Kyle Snyder is now the youngest U.S. world champion. Snyder won the gold medal on Friday night at the United World Wrestling Championships 2015 in Las Vegas. Going in Snyder was ranked 15th in the world and pulled a big upset in the final match, defeating defending world champion, Russia’s Abdusalam Gadisov.

Earlier in the week a report came out stating that Floyd Mayweather Jr. used a banned IV the day before his fight with Manny Pacquiao. The report also points to a strange situation where the United States Anti-Doping Agency knew he did it, then allowed him a TUE exemption for it, 20 days after the fight happened. Manny Pacquiao has spoken up and told reporters, according to Yahoo Sports, that he want’s there to be a punishment for Mayweather and he also wants a rematch with the undefeated boxer, who is facing off with Andre Berto on Saturday night, a fight he says is his last.
