Royce Gracie speaks on MMA return

Last month it was announced that Royce Gracie would be returning to MMA for a trilogy fight against Ken Shamrock under the Bellator MMA banner in February. While Gracie has been away from MMA competition since 2007, he’s ready to show that at 48 years old he still has what it takes to compete professionally.

Over the weekend, Holly Holm made history and became the first athlete to ever hold a world boxing title as well as an MMA title. Holm claimed the UFC women’s bantamweight title from Ronda Rousey, who until their meeting was one of the most dominant champions the UFC has ever seen. Holm won in devastating fashion winning round one, and then knocking Rousey out in just 59 seconds of the second round. Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones was happy to give credit to his teammate.
