The revolutionary weigh-in procedures being implemented this year by ONE Championship has got a lot of people talking. The promotion’s ban on weight-cutting is looking to make fighting a safer sport, and Victor Cui, CEO of the promotion has made it known that he would like other premier MMA promotions such as the UFC and Bellator to join in the new system. Even UFC color commentator Joe Rogan thinks that it is a step in the right direction. One Championship welterweight champion Ben Askren who will be moving up to middleweight with the new weigh-in system spoke with MMA Fighting on the new changes.

Former light heavyweight champion Jon Jones recently put out a video mocking the current champion Daniel Cormier. Jones recorded a past interview of Cormier and teased him after Cormier said that “people don’t even like me, they just hate Jon Jones!” Cormier replied to Jones’ video with a tweet questioning what “Bones” was doing in the dark watching the old videos of DC.

It was a perfect performance that we saw from Holly Holm in her dominating win to take the UFC women’s bantamweight championship belt from Ronda Rousey at UFC 193 in November. However, Holm revealed her feelings with FOX Sports on how she felt she did that night she shocked the world. “I don’t feel that was my full potential,” Holm told FOX Sports at UFC 194 when speaking about her fight with Rousey. “I feel like if that’s my full potential, then I should retire because I don’t feel like I’m going to get better.

It will mark the first time Ronda Rousey will appear in front a live crowd since losing to Holly Holm at UFC 193. Rousey is scheduled to host Saturday Night Live on Jan. 23, which will mark her first major television appearance since losing as well. Rousey has made an effort to stay away from media interviews and cameras since her devastating knockout loss to Holm back in November. She has had one highlighted interview with ESPN magazine, and aside from that has been rather quiet on her social media with hints of unhappiness in some of her posts.
