If there is one thing that UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos can talk about more than Conor McGregor, it is his own native language. The Brazilian who has been getting flack from McGregor for moving from Brazil and living in the United States to train, had a moment where he won the exchange of words over the outspoken Irish showman during the UFC 197 Press Conference. McGregor said, ““I see a man who, although he is Brazilian, does not represent the Brazilian people like he should. He brings the name of Brazil down. So I will bring the name of Brazil back up once again. Viva la Brasilia!”

It was the Conor McGregor show at the UFC 197 Press Conference. McGregor who showed up nearly half an hour late to the event was not short on words once getting there. McGregor repeatedly interrupted Rafael dos Anjos as he was answering questions from the media. One thing many fans were excited to hear was what the latest prediction was from “Mystic Mac.” McGregor has had a mysterious knack for predicting exactly how his fights would end.

Before her face off with the UFC women’s bantamweight champion Holly Holm, Tate and Holm answered questions from the media. Tate who was thinking about retirement after getting snubbed of a title shot is now content with facing a brand new challenge for the title against a great champion Holly Holm. Fans of “Cupcake” that tuned into the Press Conference were likely hoping to see more of Tate and Holm but a lot of the attention from the media was on UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor. When Tate and Holm stood up and went face to face, fans were gawking over the outfit Tate was wearing for the event.

Shortly after it was announced that Conor McGregor would be moving up to lightweight to fight Rafael dos Anjos for the lightweight strap at UFC 197 on March 5th, it was revealed that McGregor could even go up to welterweight to challenge Robbie Lawler for his welterweight championship. At the UFC 197 press conference Wednesday afternoon McGregor once again brought up the possibility of fighting at welterweight, further adding to the hype surrounding ‘Notorious’ fighting in a 3rd weight class.
