Hawaiian featherweight Max Holloway sticks with his own when it comes to other fighters, as he threw his support behind fellow Hawaiian BJ Penn in his comeback fight against Ricardo Lamas. “BJ is a legend, it should be a fun fight. If Ricardo tries to stick and move on BJ, take him down and get in BJ’s guard, but BJ can get his back and it’s over,” Holloway said on Monday’s edition of the MMA Hour. “A motivated BJ Penn is a dangerous thing.”

After two failed USADA drug tests, Brock Lesnar is done in the UFC, according to UFC heavyweight and one-time Lesnar opponent Alistair Overeem. Overeem spoke to TMZ Sports on Tuesday while catching a place at Los Angeles Airport, and was asked if he was interested in beating up Brock Lesnar again (Overeem defeated Lesnar by first round TKO back at UFC 141).

The win pushed the talented grappler to a fantastic 9-1 in his last 10–a controversial loss to Yoel Romero being his only hiccup in that stretch. In the wake of his defeat of Belfort, Jacare spent some time on the shelf with an injury. But according to a Tuesday Instagram post, he’s now recovered, and he wants to know who you’d like to see him fight next.

Bellator lightweight champion Michael Chandler’s immediate future looks like it could get very interesting. We know that he’ll be taking on former UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson on November 19. Should he pass that test, Chandler can then look forward to a scrap with another UFC veteran in Josh Thompson, and perhaps even to a scrap with former Bellator featherweight champion Patricio “Pitbull” Freire. Yet on his Monday appearance on The MMA Hour, Chandler explained to host Ariel Helwani that his big-ticket possibilities don’t end there either. Instead, he said he’d be interested in a possible move up to 170lbs to fight recent Bellator signee Rory MacDonald.

Santos, who underwent surgery for the injury, has yet to be cleared by a doctor, but hopes to return to training sooner rather than later.
