Gamebred Bareknuckle MMA 7 Results: Junior dos Santos KO’s Alan Belcher (Video)

Tonight’s Gamebred Bareknuckle MMA 7 event was headlined by a heavyweight title fight between Junior dos Santos and Alan Belcher.

Dos Santos (22-10 MMA), ended his 18-month hiatus last September at Gamebred Fighting Championship 5, where he scored a split decision victory over longtime UFC rival Fabricio Werdum. Prior to that win, the former UFC heavyweight champion was in the midst of a career-worse 5-fight losing skid.

Meanwhile, Alan Belcher (19-8 MMA, 4-0 BKFC) was last seen in MMA action this past November at Gamebred Fighting Championship 6, where he picked up a split decision win over Roy Nelson. Belcher captured the BKFC heavyweight crown this twelve months ago, and will now be looking to add a second strap to his collection.

Round one begins and Alan Belcher comes forward immediately. He looks to step inside but eats a low kick. Belcher with a lunging right hand followed by a low kick. Junior dos Santos paws with his jab. The fighters clinch and Belcher lands a right on the break. ‘JDS’ with a big punch that opens up a cut on the forehead of ‘The Talent’. Junior is moving forward now. That left jab of his is doing damage. They trade spinning back kicks to the body. The horn sounds to end round one.

Round two of this heavyweight title fight begins and Junior dos Santos’ nose is clearly busted up (again). Alan Belcher lands a head kick. ‘JDS’ with a nice right hand that lands clean. Belcher catches dos Santos off-balance and lands a series of right hands as ‘JDS’ is trying to get upright. A good elbow from Belcher. Both men are bleeding badly now. Belcher with a nice elbow and then a takedown. ‘JDS’ scrambles and now he’s in top position. Junior dos Santos is getting in some good shots. Belcher tries a sweep but can’t get it. Junior in half guard and he’s got Belcher flat on his back. He’s landing some nice ground and pound now. Belcher scrambles back to his feet but gets absolutely blasted him with a left hand and goes down. ‘JDS’ with some follow up shots and this one is all over!
