Israel Adesanya shares hilarious reaction to Alex Pereira’s UFC 6 cover: “3 Times?”

Former UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya laughed at his own demise as his two-time rival Alex Pereira graced the cover of UFC 6.

EA Sports’ latest UFC installation, UFC 6, is set to launch later this year. The video game series has taken off in recent years, as the UFC continues to grow in fandom and overall interest.

Ahead of the highly anticipated launch, it was recently revealed that former two-division UFC champion Alex Pereira and former BMF titleholder Max Holloway will grace the cover on separate versions of the game. This marks the first time that either fighter has been on the cover of a UFC video game during their star-studded careers.

Pereira’s UFC 6 cover cameo comes just weeks before he’s set to attempt to become the first three-division titleholder in UFC history. The former UFC light heavyweight champ will move up to heavyweight to fight Ciryl Gane at the White House in June.

Fans were hyped to see Pereira and Holloway grace the cover of UFC 6, including one of Pereira’s former rivals, Israel Adesanya. Despite their newfound friendship, Adesanya believes he’s partially responsible for Pereira getting on the cover.

In a recent Instagram story post, Adesanya reacted to the news of Pereira’s appearance on the UFC 6 game cover and poked fun at an image of him getting punched by his longtime foe.

“Who you know been on the cover 3 times?!?!?!” Adesanya posted.

Adesanya alluded to his previous two appearances on the cover of UFC video games, including EA Sports’ UFC 4, which launched in 2020. The former UFC middleweight champion is looking to get back in the win column following four-straight losses, including recent defeats to Joe Pyfer and Nassourdine Imavov.

Technically, UFC 6 will mark the third time that Adesanya has graced a UFC video game cover, and his and Pereira’s careers will always be linked.
