Diego Ferreira is looking to continue his win streak and work his way up the UFC lightweight rankings. Ferreira is coming off of a second-round TKO win over Kyle Nelson at UFC 231 and will now be taking on Rustam Khabilov at UFC Prague. There is no question Khabilov will be a tougher test for Ferreira, but the Brazilian is confident he has what it takes to end Khabilov’s six-fight winning streak.

Diego Ferreira had a crazy fight week in Toronto preparing for UFC 231. The Brazilian was originally set to take on John Makdessi, but Makdessi got hurt and had to pull out of the fight. Then former UFC fighter Jesse Ronson stepped in to fight Ferreira on short notice, but was quickly pulled from the bout for being too heavy. That was just days before the fight and it left Ferreira wondering if he was going to fight after all.
NAC issues 12-month suspension for UFC fighter's positive drug test

The Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC) issued a suspension dealing with a positive drug test on Tuesday, according to a report from MMA Fighting. UFC lightweight Carlos Diego Ferreira was handed the year-long suspension from competition after testing positive for the banned substance Ostarine, which is defined within the class of SARMS (selective androgen receptor modulators). Ferreira’s suspension will be retroactive to April 30, 2016.

Another UFC fighter has been flagged by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA). Lightweight Carlos Diego Ferreira was flagged by USADA and has been pulled from his scheduled UFC Fight Night 88 bout versus Abel Trujillo. UFC Fight Night 88 is scheduled to take place on May 29.
