From capitalizing on your opponents weaknesses and tendencies, going in with a game plan can help fighters achieve the results they are aiming for.
In this video breakdown from Fight Focus, we have four examples of strategies inside of competition where the results paid off big time. We see where Benson Henderson consistently threw a low attack on Nate Diaz and surprised him when he came with a high attack as did Jon Jones on Daniel Cormier, where the outcome of their UFC 214 title fight changed to a no-contest after Jones was flagged for another potential anti-doping violation. We also see Conor McGregor and Yancy Medeiros use a tactic to read their opponent to capitalize and earn a finish.
